The prestigious What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision Awards have been the Oscars of the home entertainment industry for over 30 years.  This year’s awards ceremony was held at London’s Dorchester Hotel and saw beyerdynamic receive a number of awards including Best Home On-Ear Headphone for its flagship T1 Headphones.

The T1 (Tesla 1) is beyerdynamic’s leading consumer headphone, its redesigned transducers achieve values of over one Tesla (a unit of measurement for magnetic flux density), providing the listener with almost double the volume of traditional headphones.  Increased efficiency leaves the T1 with greater power reserves for dynamic, undistorted sound and almost lossless conversion of electric signals into sound waves.  The German manufactured T1 boasts a wealth of features including, it’s extremely lightweight frame, semi-open design and double sided, balanced 6-pin cable.

What Hi-Fi commented on the quality of T1 and A1 headphone amplifier combination in a recent 5 Star review: -

“If you want to hear every last nuance of sound from a recording, we haven’t come across a better way of doing it than this Beyerdynamic combination.  Certainly, No sub-£20,000 amp and speaker pairing we’ve heard has got anywhere near unravelling a complex recording like Radiohead’s In Rainbows as well as this duo”.

Beyerdynamic also scooped the award for Best Headphone Amplifier £500+ (and a 5 Star review) for the A1 and Best In-Ear Headphone £50-£100 for the DTX-80.
