UK - The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) recently undertook the second-phase of an Audio Visual facilities overhaul at their London headquarters.

|
After a successful first-phase upgrade in 2006, completed by Martin Dawes Solutions, the Society again turned to the company for the roll out of their next phase of improvements.
The new system, covering the RPSGB's official hearings chamber and two committee rooms, is to be used for general meetings and video-conferencing. It employs a beyerdynamic MCW-D 50 wireless conferencing microphone system plus a Biamp Nexia VC DSP audio processor to link with their video-conference system, a Dynacord PCL-1125T amplifier, WHD UP26T25 100V line speakers and a beyerdynamic Opus 381 UHF radio microphone system.
The RPSGB opted for the beyer MCW-D 50 system as staff were so impressed with its performance following the initial installation. The RPSGB's, AV support manager Martin Bagley commented: "We required a system giving us flexibility, security and reliability and we wanted the end user to have the same experience in each meeting room across the site. The ease of use, security encrypting and familiarity of the beyerdynamic MCW-D 50s' made them the ideal choice for the second phase of the installation. The simplicity of operation of the MCW-D 50s' allows the users to set up and use the system effortlessly, saving valuable time and resources."

The first phase of the AV installation, completed by Martin Dawes Solutions, was a fully integrated AV system spanning three locations and included a comprehensive beyerdynamic MCW-D 50 wireless conference microphone system, a Biamp Audiaflex DSP mainframe and Nexia units, controlled by a Crestron touch-control system. The integrated modular AV system allows the RPSGB's spacious Council Chamber to be switched in minutes from a round-table boardroom to a 250-seat presentation theatre.
Gordon Stallard, business manager, Martin Dawes Solutions commented: "At Martin Dawes Solutions, we work side by side with both our suppliers and customers. By partnering with companies such as Polar Audio, we are able to provide the best results for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. In this case ensuring that the audio part of the integrated solution best fit the needs of the society, staff and members who use the equipment."
Matthew Buck, business development manager at Polar Audio added: "The MCW-D 50 system features an advanced form of 2.4 GHz DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) transmission technology and is completely secure thanks to its 128-bit data encryption and eight-digit alphanumeric PIN code capability. This allows the user to be confident of the security of their system and it also allows connection to external devices via audio inputs and outputs (balanced and unbalanced), as well as TCP/IP Ethernet or RS-232 Serial interfaces, ensuring future-proof connectivity."
