DYNACORD install exclusively in Munich's new top club
In the recently opened top club Max&Moritz on Maximiliansplatz, the Munich scene meets to dance the night away… to the exquisite sound of a DYNACORD system.

Housed on the premises of former cult disco Soul City, a new experience in disco opened at the end of August: the Max&Moritz. With a prime location on Munich’s Maximiliansplatz, the club has been lavishly renovated by its operators, M5 Gastronomie, to the tune of around half a million euro, bringing it fully up-to-date in terms of ambience and equipment.

TC-Promotion who were commissioned to provide the sound coverage for the 800 square metre location decided to use systems from DYNACORD exclusively, with the centre-piece this tailor-made sound reinforcement design formed of loudspeakers from DYNACORD's VariLine series.

Both the Max and Moritz clubs feature four VL152 and four VL122 speaker systems, providing powerful, but nonetheless brilliant, sound. "The VariLine is ideally suited to clubs of this size," explains Michael Jobst, the graduate sound engineer who led the team. "These loudspeakers offer outstanding sonic performance, along with excellent protective circuitry and compact dimensions." Considering the relatively limited space, the small footprint of the VariLine speaker systems played an important role in the installation, as Jobst explains: "Thanks to the fact that you can rotate the horns through 90 degrees, we were able to install the VariLine speaker systems in a horizontal position right under the ceiling."

The powerful bass on both dance floors is supplied by two DYNACORD SUB 28 systems. Jobst & Co. also decided in favour of DYNACORD amplification. The Managing Director of TC-Promotion was particularly enthusiastic about the capabilities of the DSP 244 processor: "The supplied parameters for the DSP provide an outstanding starting-point from which to fine-tune the sound."

In addition to the technical quality of the systems, economic factors were also of crucial importance in the decision to opt for DYNACORD. "The price-performance ratio," says Jobst, "is very, very good." Tobias Streit, Manager of the Max&Moritz, is of the same opinion, though it's the sound quality of the VariLine systems that he finds most convincing: "Outstanding sound, rock solid bass; we’ve been receiving super feedback from both our guests and our DJs." They will continue to do so, predicts Michael Jobst: "I'm not expecting any technical problems to surface in the coming years," he says. "After all, the reliability of DYNACORD products is almost legendary."
