 After the enormous success of last year’s event, the 2006 Audio Industry Regatta (AIR) will take place on the renowned waters of the Solent during the weekend of 23rd-24th September and the time to get aboard is approaching fast.So far 11 major audio companies have already signed up to sponsor a racing yacht and there is still a chance that your company to do the same. It’s a fantastic weekend and it’s all for charity! You don’t need any experience, just a keen crew of 6 or 7 people. SunSail will supply everything, including the boat, expert instruction, the skipper and all the kit you'll need. The aim of AIR is to raise money and awareness for The Elizabeth Foundation. Based in Cosham, Hampshire, The Elizabeth Foundation is a voluntary organisation offering support nationwide for deaf children from 0-5 years and their families. If sailing isn't your thing then why not just sponsor a table for the Saturday evening fundraising event to be held at the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club with its wonderful views over the marina. Every little helps. Last year’s event was a rousing success and raised £8,500 for the Elizabeth Foundation, bringing the total to date to over £65,000. The companies taking part so far in this year’s races include PLASA, beyerdynamic, Sound Advice, Amptown, CPA Audit, Martin Audio, The Elizabeth Foundation, Neutrik, Leisuretec Distribution, Sennheiser and Sound Foundation. |
