Steel spaceships come home to Sheffield.
Sheffield, England.
Local residents were alarmed to see that two giant steel UFO's had landed in a car park in the city centre. The mysterious structures, shaped rather like curling stones, were soon found to be occupied by hundreds of local students. In fact, the twin shapes hadn’t been programmed to seek out the home of British steel, but were actually the new design of Hallam University’s Student Union building.
Almost in the realms of science fiction, the new building has been equipped with the very latest in audio and visual stimuli for the use of its inhabitants. The Sound and Light Company (from Earth) have installed an advanced control system manufactured by Biamp and supplied throughout the solar system by beyerdynamic.

Audia-Solo is the centre brain, which actually talks to the equipment located around three main zones. Touch panels (first used on the Starship Enterprise?) issue commands to Turbosound rigs. The two dance / bar areas are using TXD151 mid tops with TXD 218 subs, and the live room has TQ445 mid tops and TSW718 subs. The power source has nothing to do with dilithium crystals, but comes from the new lightweight E45 and MC2 T1500/2000 power amplifiers.
It may seem a bit alien to us, but observers report that the Sheffield sound experience is completely out of this world.
