The Sky's the Limit!
Xtreme Audio Visual have designed and commissioned a complete installation project for Sky Nightclub in Ware, Herts.
“Xtreme’s design is excellent’, said club owners Mark Holt and Steve Fox. ‘They really helped us to achieve what we wanted with the venue. The clarity of the system is exceptional and really brings the music to life, and the support we received before, during and after the build was fantastic.”
The entrance to the venue is quite spectacular. The reception area is fitted with Tryka LED modules, which enhance the environment by allowing full colour changes, while the frosted glass reception desk is lit from underneath by fibre optic lights. With this system installed the mood of the whole area can be dramatically altered as required, nightly or to suit specific events.
Installed equipment also includes a KV2 sound system controlled by a Biamp Audia Solo DSP, Technics SL1210’s, Pioneer CDJ1000’s and an Allen and Heath 464 mixer in the DJ booth, while the lighting is provided by 4 Robe 170, 4 Robe 250 and a Studio Due XS700 along with LED colour-changing bar areas. All the lighting in the entire venue is controlled by Showcad Artist. Audio zoning around the building by Biamp’s Audia means that music and volume levels can be independently controlled in different areas at the press of a button.
Once inside the venue a glass staircase leads up to the main club. This is lit by floor LED’s to create a stunning visual effect. The main club is split into two rooms - Daylight, which is the main dance area, and the Sunset VIP Lounge. The KV2 sound system, designed by Andy Austin Brown, consists of 4 x ES1.0, 2 x ES2.5, 2 x ES1.8 and 2 x ES1.5 and is powered by 4 x EPAK’s. The speakers are colour coded to the club’s décor and four NEC LT240 projectors span the entire back wall.
The Sunset Lounge has been fitted with the smaller powered KV2 EX system, consisting of 4 x EX10 and 2 x EX2.2, and the lighting has colour changing LED’s together with a neon skylight. Here the visuals are supplied by an NEC 42” Plasma Screen.
In the office there is a c-burn revolution music system to supply the entire venue with background music for times when a DJ isn’t in the house.
The end result is a system that is fully integrated, and simply managed via touch control LCD wall plates positioned throughout the venue.
