Renkus-Heinz fills the Playhouse

UK. The Nottingham Playhouse has just been refitted with Renkus-Heinz RFX speakers from UK distributor beyerdynamic (GB). Installed by Dave Kelland of Kelco, in time for the Christmas production of Kenneth Alan Taylor's 'Aladdin'.

"The Playhouse wanted a system that would give the theatre maximum versatility", says Dave. "The sound had to be second to none and the RFX 121-E were the only speakers that fitted the bill. We configured them in such a way that they can be adapted to a wide range of uses - concerts, plays, lectures and corporate presentations."
According to Paul Stear, acting head of sound and lighting at the Playhouse " the Renkus-Heinz give a smooth, full sound and they were just more exciting than the others speakers we tried. They are going to work in a variety of ways for us. As main sound reinforcement, stage fills, stage monitors
and in a soundaround playback setup."

Beyerdynamic (GB) have also supplied five ST4 and two DRS 18 1P subs by Renkus-Heinz to the Bill Clinton Institute Film School at University College Dublin, whose patron is 'Godfather' director Martin Scorcese. The system in the school's preview theatre is driven by a BIAMP Audia C88 Digital Audio Platform.
