The beyer team won the 11th annual
Dave Martin Memorial sailing trophy for
the second year in a row....
It was a perfect weekend...
Sept. 27 & 28 despite a very
un-promising forecast.
The audio industry's DAMSTY event has taken place annually for over a decade, to commemorate the life of Dave Martin, raise money for audio related charities and most importantly to have a sailing weekend with friends and colleagues.

Held in the Solent over two days the event had entrants from companies such as Neutrik, Vistek Electronics, Sound Foundation, Martin Audio and Sound Advice.
The winners, beyerdynamic faced a tough challenger in Sound Advice who led at the end of the first day with two first positions. On Sunday, the tables were turned and beyerdynamic was the winning boat in both races; that led to the boat with the best placed finishing position in the overall racing score, winning on a 'points' bases. John Midgley said of the result: " We faced a tough challenge this year with the Sound Advice boat out-pacing us for speed- but with a combination of good luck and an excellent crew, we were able to clinch the win over the four races."
It is organised by a Brenda White & Ken Walker and a committee of volunteers in conjunction with Sunsail Corporate sailing. Please call Brenda or Ken for next year's competition to reserve your boat on 01753 645682 or via email on brendakenw@tiscali.co.uk.
The event delivered good weather, good competitive sailing and raised money for a very good charitable cause The Elizabeth Foundation for Pre-School Deaf Children .
