• Aux Port — Located on all Vocia paging stations next to the network connector, allows connection of a third party control systems via RS232. It provides access to all standard paging control functionalities and allows users to select paging destinations on the fly from a facility map.

• LSI-16e — The existing Life Safety Interface was enhanced and now offers 16 additional inputs to the existing 4 emergency connections. These new inputs can be used for emergency zones or multiple emergency messages per zone (e.g. alert, evacuation and all-clear).

• RS232 — The RS232 port on the LSI-16 and LSI-16e can be used to trigger up to 500 virtual inputs (50 zones with 10 emergency messages/reset each). This connection can also be used to monitor the health of emergency equipment (VA-8600, EWS-4/-10, ELD-1 and LSI-16/- 16e) via third party controller (e.g. alerts you of speaker line failures, emergency devices going offline or power supply issues).

• Email Notification —
These allow you to monitor system health on the go; receive alerts when any alarm in the system is detected (e.g. devices go offline, system fault is detected, or a disruption in the signal path be it in the microphone capsule or the speaker line).

• Improved ELD-1 Identification — Let's you specify a location name and indicates which of the up to 15 ELD-1 devices connected to an amplifier channel have detected a fault in the system so that troubleshooting is simplified.
• Expanded 3rd Party Control — Additional Vocia Text Protocol (VTP) commands provide additional control (e.g. trigger an existing page code via VTP, adjust volume, background source or mute in a zone via VTP, create and trigger custom Text-to-Speech sequences via VTP).

• Additional VoIP Codec Support
Wideband VoIP Codec support (G.722) has been added as well as an additional narrowband Codec (GSM).

• Smart Bundle Allocation for VI-6 The VI-6 will now only use 1 bundle channel per active input. Any disabled channels will not consume network bandwidth. This increases the number of partially utilized VI-6 devices that can be used in the system from the previous limit of five.

• Audio Files for VTP — Vocia now supports up to 1000 audio files (a maximum duration of 10 hours) specifically for use via a third party controller using VTP.

• Zone Muting
Vocia can now mute both background and paging audio in a zone at the same time.

• Logic I/O Metering — Vocia now supports status indication (active/inactive) of all control inputs and outputs in the system, including PARM on the VA-8600 and all I/O on the LSI-16 and IM-16.
