M 99

A special microphone and almost an “instrument” in its own right designed to create the kind of sound beyond the possibilities of regular signal processing. The massive dynamic element can enhance the dynamics of instruments when close miked and add depth to expressive vocalists.

Features
• Dynamic, hypercardioid polar response
• Switchable presence emphasis and equalisation
• Integrated elastic suspension
• Rugged construction
Specifications

Frequency response 30 - 18,000 Hz
Polar pattern Hypercardioid

M 130

A ribbon microphone that, with considered application, will produce a unique and distinctive sound. It is especially valuable when used with instruments that produce a mix of complex audio signals such as strings. In combination with the hypercardioid M 160, the M 130 is ideal for creating an authentic stereo image using the M-S

Features
• Dynamic, double ribbon transducer
• True hypercardioid polar response
• Extended frequency response
• Characteristically warm and natural sound
Specifications

Frequency response: 40 - 18,000 Hz
Nominal output impedance: 200 ohm

M 160

A double ribbon microphone that is especially sympathetic with vocals that contain a high level of sibilance and where a “warm” sound is desired. The double ribbon construction handles higher SPL levels without significantly adding to the diaphragm mass. Used in combination with the M 130 microphone is also ideal for creating an authentic stereo image using the M-S (Mid-Side) technique.

Features
• Dynamic, double ribbon transducer
• True hypercardioid polar response
• Extended frequency response
• Characteristically warm and natural sound

M 260

The M 260 is used for vocals and miking instruments at broadcast, recording and film studios. Its flat frequency response and natural, warm ribbon sonic profile make it a highly effective element of the digital recording process.

The hypercardioid polar pattern provides an extremely high gain-before-feedback and elimination of lateral noise (maximum at 115°). The M 260 is equipped with a built-in high-pass-filter which compensates the close miking effect, when the microphone is applied very close to an instrument. The microphone also features a high insensitivity towards magnetic stray fields and extreme temperatures. The rugged grille protects the microphone system against accidental hits and kicks

Features
• Ribbon transducer performance in a rugged, versatile configuration
• True hypercardioid polar response
• Extended frequency response
• Characteristically warm and natural sound

M 201TG

Another classic from beyerdynamic, this microphone has the unique ability of being able to work with almost all sound sources and is effective when working at close proximity or at a distance where its directional characteristic really comes into its own.

• Dynamic, hypercardioid response
• Highly sensitive Hostaphan® diaphragm
• Low handling noise
• Integrated hum-buck filter
• Extremely high SPL capability

MC 840
Description
The MC 840 is an extremely compact large diaphragm studio microphone with a gold vaporised double diaphragm and 5 selectable polar patterns (omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-eight). This new microphone is equipped with an improved low-noise pre-amplifier and an impedance transformer without transducer. Due to a two-stage roll-off filter (80 and 160 Hz) compensating the close miking effect and a two-stage pre-attenuation (-10 and -20 dB) the MC 840 is a superior microphone for any recording application. It has been designed without compromise to capture every sound detail with absolute clarity and purity.

Features
• Condenser, cardioid polar response
• Five selectable polar patterns: omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-of-eight
• Switchable 10 and 20 dB attenuation
• 2 position low frequency roll-off
• Exceptional dynamic range
