DT 790 | DT 797

Developed with both broadcasting and intercom systems in mind; these headsets combine the best parts of the DT770M with the reliable microphones used in the DT290 and DT297.

The DT 790 has a dynamic hypercardioid microphone, and headphone drivers with an 80 Ohm impedance suited for the commonly battery operated belt packs used in intercom systems.

The DT 797 has a condenser cardioid microphone, and headphone drivers with a 250 Ohm impedance suited for the high outputs common with broadcast equipment. The condenser microphone, although arguably less rugged than the dynamic microphone, provides a higher quality sound input necessary for broadcast applications. The DT 797 is ideal for radio announcers and sports commentators, the 250Ohm headphone drivers provide a more linear frequency response.

Headzone

Headzone® PRO XT utilizes current DSP technology and “Binaural Environment Modelling®” technology to provide superior surround sound reproduction with a standard stereo-headphone. It also offers a unique patented ultrasonic-headtracking system, which locates the orientation of the listener’s head with respect to the source material and adjusts the audio accordingly.
With Headzone’s® advanced environment simulation software it’s easy to model the sound of a loudspeaker system (up to 5.1) and to recall it at any time. The parameters that affect sound in a real room can all be adjusted virtually: the position of the loudspeakers in the room, their distance from the listener, the size and also the acoustic qualities of the room.

“Headzone® PRO XT is a unique cost-, space-, and time-saving alternative for all sound engineers to mix surround sound,” explains Peter Grooff, Product Manager for Headzone®. “Due to its analogue and digital connecting possibilities, and its compactness, Headzone® can be used almost everywhere. It was designed for a variety of applications including broadcast (e.g. in OB vans), post-production, recording studios, mobile recording, and computer game sound design”, continues Peter Grooff.
